26th April 2012

Many of you could have heard of this place. It was in the news few days ago, reporting on this kids educational center located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It was also highly recommended by some friends of us who had been there with their kids.

A rough idea about Kidzania
Kidzania is a kids city. The basic idea of this is to have your kids to work and earn their "pocket money". They could choose any jobs in Kidzania. If they work, they are paid in Kidzania currency - Kidzo. Every kid has a 'saving accounts' in Kidzania. Everything looks really real. They put on uniforms according to which occupation they are in. They could be fire fighters, cashiers, models, bakers, doctors, pilots, cabin crews and etc. And wow....some of these occupations need them to attend training courses before they are qualified. And of course, that costs Kidzo money. lol..Thus, they earn and spend. For example, if you were the cashier of the supermarket you earn, if you were to buy some stuff from there, you spend. If you were a pump attendant, you earn, if you drove a car, you spend.

'A key component of the KidZania experience is the integration of real-world brands to sponsor the city's business and activities. This form of integrated marketing partnership enriches each activity by creating a more authentic experience. An airline knows best how to train pilots or run an airport. A bank knows best how to teach children about saving and investing. Industry partners make the experiences possible and, in turn, empower, inspire and educate children. This is an immersive and interactive brand experience, unmatched by any other location-based entertainment property.' - Kidzania.com

You could probably find brand names like Air Asia, Sushi King, PosLaju et etc in Kidzania, Malaysia.

Could you imagine our kids behave like a working adult? They are just too too too cute!!
